Dear Professor Aliaksandr,
This is Seo Jaeyoung from Yonmujae Taekwondo. I am writing this to express my sincere gratitude for your kind support to us.
1. 무술수련과 연무재
말씀하신 대로 무술의 높은 수준에 오르려면 일정한 과정이 필요합니다. 무술을 “극한 상황 하의 심적 육체적 자기 극복”으로 정의해봅시다. 이 경우 현존하는 여러 무술 간의 우열을 가리는 것은 무의미합니다. 어느 무술이든 결국은 가장 효율적인 몸짓을 추구하면서 빠르고 정확하게 사지를 운용하는 것이 중요합니다. 이것은 절대 단시간의 수련으로 이룰 수 없으며, 책이나 질의응답으로 실제 수련을 대체할 수 없습니다.
저는 태권도 수련을 통해 나이와 성별을 가리지 않고 많은 사람들이 건강을 얻고 행복한 인생을 살길 바랍니다. 저는 연무재 수련이 같은 목적을 가지고 있는 분들께 그 해답이 될 수 있다고 믿습니다.
1. Martial arts training and Yonmujae
As you have said, everybody needs a certain “path” to reach the high level of martial arts. Let's define martial arts as "mental and physical self-overcoming under extreme circumstances". Under the definition, it is truly meaningless to make a discrimination among currently existing martial arts. It is rather important for any martial arts to operate human limbs fast and accurately while pursuing the most efficient movements. This cannot be accomplished in a short time, and knowledge cannot replace actual physical training.
Above all, I hope that many people will gain health and live a happy life through Taekwondo practice regardless of nationality, age, and sex. I believe Yonmujae would be one of answers for those who is looking for the same goal.
2. 귀하와의 협력에 대해
교수님께서 브레스트 시에 거주하신다 들었습니다. 브레스트는 동유럽의 중심에 위치하고 폴란드와 접경한 만큼 지리적으로 중요한 도시입니다. 브레스트가 향후 벨라루스, 러시아, 폴란드 등 동유럽의 연무재 중심지가 될 수 있겠습니다. 앞으로 귀하의 역할을 기대하겠습니다. 머지 않아 한국에서 뵙기를 바랍니다.
2. Regarding our cooperation
I heard you are living in the city of Brest in Belarus. Brest is a geographically important city since it is located at the center of Eastern Europe and even bordering with Poland. Maybe your city can be the center of Yonmujae Taekwondo in Eastern Europe in the future. I look forward to your role in the future. I hope to see you soon in Korea.
